The shooter is identified, a Cleveland is a victim, and

Skull & Bones naturally comes to 

mind regarding Taft Union High School.

A school shooting was reported on January 10, 2013, in Taft, California (population, fewer than 10,000).

The Associated Press and other media sources report that a student was shot and another was slightly wounded at the Taft Union High School, in a rural San Joaquin Valley high school. An unidentified student was taken into custody. The shooting occurred around 9 a.m.

The wounded student (reportedly in an induced coma) was flown to a hospital in Bakersfield, according to Ray Pruitt, spokesman for the Kern County Sheriff's Department. Pruitt said the suspect is a student, and a shotgun was used in the attack.

Kern County Fire Department Eric Coughran told KBAK-TV the another person suffered some type of injuries in the incident but refused medical attention.

Updated information: Suspect Identified

The victim is identified as 16-year-old Bowe Cleveland. Another student was shot at but not wounded. The classroom teacher, Ryan Heber, asked the shooter to surrender. The gunman dropped his weapon and was arrested. Heber suffered a minor wound to the head from being grazed by a shotgun pellet. Both of the students were believed to be intended targets of the shooter. A female student was also hospitalized for hearing damage because the shotgun was fired close to her ear. Students who personally knew the gunman said that he was bullied by the shooting victims. Source.

Multiple sources have identified the suspected shooter as "Brian Oliver." Source.

Meanwhile, USA Today reported that the suspect was a "16-year-old student identified by KGET as Bryan Oliver."

Oliver is said to have been working on this attack for a year and had developed a "hit list."

Town Name Links To Skull & Bones

After a fire burned much of the town then known as Moron, California, the name was changed to Taft in honor of William Howard Taft, pictured above, (September 15, 1857 – March 8, 1930), the 27th President of the United States (1909–1913) and later the tenth Chief Justice of the United States (1921–1930). He attended Yale University, and was a member of Skull and Bones. In 1878, Taft graduated, ranking second in his class out of 121.

William Howard Taft's father is Alphonso Taft, pictured above, (November 5, 1810 – May 21, 1891), the Attorney General and Secretary of War under President Ulysses S. Grant and the founder of an American political dynasty. Born in Townshend, Vermont, the son of Peter Rawson Taft of the powerful Taft family, he graduated from Yale College in 1833, where he also was a tutor 1835-37. At Yale, he and his classmate William Huntington Russell cofounded Skull and Bones, the preeminent senior society. Russell, in 1856, with several other Bonesmen, he incorporated Skull and Bones as the Russell Trust, later the Russell Trust Association. Coincidence: LA's Taft High School

When the news of the January 10, 2013 shooting was broadcast, media and law enforcement at first thought that Taft High School in Los Angeles was involved.

The following was reported on October 18, 2012, near Taft High School, in Los Angeles:

Los Angeles police are investigating a reported shooting Thursday afternoon across the street from Taft High School in Woodland Hills. 

The shooting was reported around 3:15 p.m. in the Ralphs parking across from the school at Ventura Boulevard and Winnetka Avenue, said LAPD spokeswoman Norma Eisenman. The caller who reported the attack to police said they heard multiple shots. When police responded, they found a man, believed to be between 20 and 25, suffering from a gunshot wound, Eisenman said. The victim, who was not immediately identified, was hospitalized. The victim was not believed to be a student, though an initial call suggested he might be. It was not immediately clear if the school was on lock-down.

The assailants were reportedly driving a 4-door Infinity luxury sedan, last seen heading south on Quakertown Street.

Smurfs Smash in Oz

First it was Leprechauns in the USA, Oompa Loompas in the UK, and now comes a report of Smurfs bashing a man in Oz.

Are we seeing a multiple continent invasion?

The Smurfs made their alleged assault on December 16, 2012, in Pascoe Vale, Victoria, Australia. Australians pronounce Australia as "Ozstralia," and thus so "Oz" is a shortened version of referring to the country, especially by Aussies (Australians) and Kiwis (New Zealanders.

Pascoe Vale was named after the John Pascoe Fawkner Estate, which was originally a holding of 709 acres (2.87 km2). The estate, established in 1839, was bounded by the Moonee Ponds Creek to the west, Gaffney Street to the south, Northumberland Road to the east and Rhodes Parade to the north. John Pascoe Fawkner built a timber house overlooking the creek, in the Marie Street area of Oak Park.
John Pascoe Fawkner (20 October 1792 – 4 September 1869) was an early pioneer, businessman and politician of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. In 1835 he financed a party of free settlers from Van Diemen's Land (now called Tasmania), to sail to the mainland in his ship, Enterprize. Fawkner's party sailed to Port Phillip and up the Yarra River to found a settlement which became the city of Melbourne. Sources: 1, 2 & 3.

The Oompa Loompas attacked on December 27, 2012, in Norwich, UK.

The Leprechauns made their appearances in Belltown, Washington State on June 16, 2012, and earlier in March 2006 in Crichton, near Mobile, Alabama.

The Crichton Leprechaun has taken on legendary status, with over 22 million YouTube views of the report. One on-site reporter named Scott Walker remembers that

...the report didn't start out to be about a leprechaun. The TV crew was dispatched to find out why crowds were gathering in the Crichton community. Pronounced Crigh-ton, the area near Toulminville is divided by Spring Hill Avenue into North Crichton and South Crichton, bounded generally by Mobile Street, Dauphin Street and Interstate 65.

It was when the TV crew arrived to find out why people were all gathering that 'things sort of snowballed,' Walker said. 'People were looking up at a tree and saying there was a Leprechaun in it,' he wrote. Source.

Now comes the report from Australia of the Smurfs. Most accounts track back to this version of what occurred, which I summarize here:

A Pascoe Vale, Australia man, 37, bought a packet of cigarettes from a convenience store at the intersection of West and Pascoe streets at about 1:00 am on December 16, 2012. After he left the store an apparent human dressed as a Papa Smurf approached him and asked for a cigarette. The man offered him a smoke but the Smurf insisted it be lit before he handed it over. The man refused and noticed the thing dressed as a Smurf was with three other entities, who were also dressed as Smurfs. The Pascoe Vale man was then smashed and bashed but the police initial reports said they were unclear if the alleged offenders were the "group in fancy dress," as the Australian media called them.

"We are trying to piece it all together to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the assault," the police spokeswoman said. "Because the men dressed as Smurfs spoke to the man before the assault we are interested in talking to them to find out what happened."

The "group in fancy dress" (the Smurfs) apparently tried to jump start a white VS Commodore and had asked for assistance from a woman at a nearby car park before they met the Pascoe Vale man. Source.

The Storm Is Coming: 3-3-13

The slogan for the new nonfiction series Vikings is "The Storm is Coming 3.3.13."

On History.

The name Viking came from the Scandinavians themselves, from the Old Norse word "vik" (bay or creek) which formed the root of "vikingr" (pirate).

The Dark Knight movies enjoyed telling us that "a storm is coming."

"There's a storm coming, Mr. Wayne."

Even earlier, "a storm is coming" was heard in the Terminator movies.

Vikings appears to wish to copycat the feel of Game of Thrones.

The Old Norse feminine noun víking refers to an expedition overseas. It occurs in Viking Age runic inscriptions and in later medieval writings in set expressions such as the phrasal verb fara í víking "to go on an expedition." In later texts such as the Icelandic sagas, the phrase "to go viking" implies participation in raiding activity or piracy, and not simply seaborne missions of trade and commerce. The related Old Norse masculine noun víkingr appears in Viking Age skaldic poetry and on several rune stones found in Scandinavia, where it refers to a seaman or warrior who takes part in an expedition overseas. The form also occurs as a personal name on some Swedish rune stones. There is little indication of any negative connotation in the term before the end of the Viking Age. Regardless of its possible origins, the word was used to indicate an activity and those who participated in it, and it did not belong to any ethnic or cultural group.

In Old English, the word wicing appears first in the Anglo-Saxon poem, "Widsith," which probably dates from the 9th century. In Old English, and in the history of the archbishops of Hamburg-Bremen written by Adam of Bremen in about 1070, the term is synonymous with pirate and a Scandinavian. A mysterious mass murder happened in the Alps, recently on New Year's Day 2013, in Daillon, Switzerland.

A gunman thought to have murdered three women in a rampage through an Alpine village is to be questioned about a similar massacre on a British family last year, it emerged....
Police in Switzerland are waiting to interview the 33-year-old psychiatric patient, named locally by his first name Cedric, thought to be responsible for [the January 1st] carnage in Daillon, in the Valais canton, 60 miles east of Geneva.
The man, who has a history of threatening people with guns, is in a 'stable condition' in intensive care after being shot in the chest by a tactical police firearms unit.... Read more here.

For some reason, this event brought to mind Bob Marley's song, "Iron Lion Zion." And Dying!

In Kabbalah the more esoteric reference is made to Tzion being the spiritual point from which reality emerges, located in the Holy of Holies of the First, Second and Third Temple. Zion (Hebrew: ציון) (also transliterated Sion, Tzion or Tsion) is a place name often used as a synonym for Jerusalem.

It is intriguing to look at the etymology of Zion. Zion may be derived from the Hebrew root ''ṣiyyôn" ("castle"). Also, looking at the commonly used form based on German orthography, where z is always pronounced [t͡s] (e.g. "zog" [t͡soːk]), hence "Tsion" in German literature.

By coincidence, images of ancient views of Sion, Switzerland, have a remarkable "castle-like" look to them.

It is not too far-fetched to see the link between Zog = Zug.

Also observed is that: "The attack took place less than 150 miles from the French village of Chevaline, near Annecy, where - in September last year - five people, including a British[-Iraqi] couple, were shot dead by a mystery gunman."

On January 4th, the media reported: "Police say that the guns used in the two incidents are not the same, although guns used in both incidents were old Swiss army guns."

What's going on? We don't know.

The following historical Zug event is being revisited due to what occurred in Daillon.

On September 27, 2001, Switzerland was left reeling by a gunman’s attack on the Zug regional parliament, which killed 14 local politicians. Coming as it did barely two weeks after the attack on New York’s twin towers, the shooting spree was especially traumatic.
On September 27, 2001, Friedrich Leibacher stormed into the chamber of the Zug cantonal parliament.
He was wearing a home-made police vest, and carrying a number of weapons, including an assault rifle, a pistol and a revolver.
In the space of two and a half minutes he fired more than 90 shots and ignited a home-made bomb.
At the end of the attack he killed himself.
Three members of the cantonal government and 11 members of parliament were killed.
Another 18 people were injured, some of them seriously.
Leibacher’s chief target, minister Robert Bisig, was unharmed.
Leibacher, who was 57, had a long history of legal disputes with the authorities, and felt he had been treated unfairly. Source.

Aurora Update: Superman Killer

The killer called himself "Sun."

The second gunman to cause multiple fatalies in Aurora, Colorado in seven months has been identified by neighbors as 33-year-old Sonny Archuleta. Aurora is also the location of the The Dark Knight Rises shootings on July 20, 2012.

The surname Archuleta is a family name which was originated in the Basque Country of Spain. Archuleta is of Castillian derivation of Basque Aretxuloeta, which ultimately comes from the place name Arechavaleta (Basque: Aretxabaleta). The placename uses the Basque words "(h)aritz" (oak tree), "zabal" (wide) and "eta" (indicating plurality), with the combined meaning of "wide place where oak trees grow." 

The surname Archuleta as shown in the Diccionârio Onomastico y Heraldico Vasco (Basque heraldry dictionary) means oak grove.

Thus one way to interpret his name is as "sunny oak grove." (It will be recalled that Wade Michael Page, a man with many tattoos, including one of 9/11, killed six at a Sikh gurdwara on Sunday, August 5, 2012, in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.)

Man of Steel is an upcoming American superhero film directed by Zack Snyder, produced by Christopher Nolan (the director of the Dark Knight films) and scripted by David S. Goyer. It opens June 14th. Flag Day. Should we be worried?

Please note that in back of Archuleta are photographs of the skyline and the Flatiron Building of New York City. New York City is the model for Gotham City in the Dark Knight/Batman mythos, and for Metropolis in the Superman stories.

Sonny Archuleta's victims have been identified as Archuleta’s sister-in-law, Stacie Philbrook and her boyfriend, Chris Ratliffe; and Archuleta’s father-in-law, Anthony Ticali.
On September 5, 2012, Archuleta tweeted about the murder of his brother, Pat, who was shot and killed at a local restaurant in Denver on September 3, 2012.

It is mind-blowing that the alleged gunman in the first high profile mass shooting in Aurora Colorado since the Batman shooting resonates strongly with another DC Comics hero: Superman. In addition to having the Superman symbol tattooed on his chest, Archuleta used the name "The 5uper" on his Myspace page (where he posted the result of his "Which Superhero am I" quiz: "You are Superman.") According to his Twitter, he was "working and spreading the Word" at the fortreSS of Sol!tude Upper Art Stud!o.

I am guessing, given Archuleta's obvious fascination with Superman, that the tattoo on his upper arm (which I at first thought might be a poorly executed depiction of Elvis) is the face of Superman. The heavily cratered planet, with what appears to be a rocket taking off from its surface, is likely Superman's home planet Krypton, from which the infant Superman escaped in a spaceship.
Solar syncs abound in this case. Superman gets his super powers from earth's sun, and the name Sonny (Sunny) resonates with this. The shooting took place at 16005 Ithaca Place. Homer described Ithaca in the Odyssey:

“Many islandslie around it, very close to each other,Doulichion, Same, and wooded Zacynthos--but low-lying Ithaca is farthest out to sea,towards the sunset, and the others are apart, towards the dawn and sun.”

Of course, the appearance of sunlight is reflected in the name of the city – Aurora means dawn. A photo behind Archuleta shows a city (New York, I believe) experiencing a red sunset or a red dawn.
An anagram provides synchromystic confirmation of the solar connection. The letters in the name “Sonny S. Archuleta” can be rearranged into the phrase “Unearth a Sol sync.”

Aurora Again - Four Dead

The location of the initial red dawn (Colorado = red, Aurora = dawn) event is in the news again. A standoff and killing of four people took place at 16005 East Ithaca Place, near the intersection of Ithaca Place and Kittredge.

As many as 40 officers, including SWAT teams and hostage negotiators, first responsed to the scene at the home in Aurora, Colorado, at 3:00 am, on Saturday, January 5, 2013.

An “armed and dangerous” man was reported to be holed up inside the suburban Denver home, possibly with as many as three hostages, police said.

Later, 9 News and other media sources confirmed that four people were killed inside the suburban townhouse in Aurora, Colorado, including the gunman, who was shot by officers, law enforcement authorities confirm. He was shot when he went to the second floor, and began firing on police.

A fifth person reportedly escaped unharmed.

The shootings occurred about four miles southeast of the Aurora Mall, where at the Century theater complex 12 people were killed and 58 wounded by a gunman at a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises on July 20, 2012. The man charged in that shooting, James Eagan Holmes, goes to court Monday, January 7, 2012, for a preliminary hearing in which prosecutors will lay out their case against him.

Attack of the Oompa Loompas

Year 2013's first media report of a Joker-like incident appears to be the one about Oompa Loompas attacking a man. This occurred on Prince of Wales Road, in the city center of Norwich, United Kingdom, in the early hours of Thursday, December 27, 2012, but is "trending," as they say, on January 1, 2013.

A spokesman for the Norfolk Police issued this statement:

Police are seeking a group of four people, two of whom were dressed as Oompa-Loompas, who attacked a male on a night out.

Two of the males were dressed as Oompa-Loompas from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, with painted orange faces and dyed green hair and were wearing hooped tops.

One of the males in the group then pushed the victim to the floor before he got up. He was then hit on the head, fell to the floor and hit again.

Norfolk Police said a 28-year-old man was left with cuts to his face, nose and lip, as well as two black eyes, after being confronted by the fictional factory workers as he left a kebab house in Norwich.

Oompa-Loompas are fictional characters from Roald Dahl's books Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator. In early editions of the novel, the little people are shown as African pygmies. 

Following growing controversy and criticism, in later editions of Dahl's book, the Oompa Loopmas are white skinned and golden haired. Nevertheless, Oompa Loompas reportedly come from Loompaland, which is a region of Loompa, a small isolated area in the West Africa.

Today, due to the movies of the book, Oompa Loompas are known for their short stature, green hair, orange skin and white pants with protruding knees.

In the 1971 film (Mel Stuart's Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, starring Gene Wilder), the male Oompa-Loompas are seen working in the factory, and were orange-skinned. The 1971 film shows the Oompa Loompas wearing Germanic clothing with striped shirts and baggy lederhosen-like pants. 

In the 2005 film (Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, starring Johnny Deep), the Oompa Loompas are noted wearing tribal clothing in their native Loompaland and typical factory worker uniforms in the factory.

The Norwich attacking Oompa Loompas appear to have followed the 1971 model for the short men.
